SFTC ATP-CTP Course

The Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) is a required first step toward earning your ATP Certificate and flying for a Part 121 airline.

At Sanders Flight Training Center, our FAA-certified ATP-CTP Course is led by SFTC instructors and conducted under our Part 141 certificate. The academic portion of the course takes place onsite at our Jasper, AL campus, providing students with foundational knowledge in airline operations and advanced systems.

Following academics, students travel to FedEx’s Air Operations Training Center (AOTC) in Memphis, TN, for simulator training in world-class full motion simulators. This hands-on experience immerses students in real airline procedures while offering opportunities to network with industry professionals and gain insight into Part 121 air carrier operations.

All instructors for this course are current or retired major airline captains and first officers, bringing real-world expertise to every phase of training. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the FAA ATP (ATM) Written Exam and return to Sanders in Jasper for final ATP check ride preparation.
